Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue: Workers Emerge From Ordeal In Good Health

They have admitted 41 workers, who were rescued from the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi, to Rishikesh AIIMS for medical examination. The preliminary checkup revealed that all workers were in good health, although some important tests are still pending. The workers are under 24-hour observation. They have conducted the test results, and they expect the reports today. Only after receiving the final reports will these 41 workers be sent home.

They brought the workers rescued from the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi to Rishikesh AIIMS by Chinuuk helicopter on Wednesday afternoon. They conducted their medical examination, confirming that they were all in good health. Now, they are undergoing a comprehensive medical examination. They have taken some samples, and they expect the report by Thursday.

Psychiatrists and medical specialists are closely monitoring the workers. Prior to admission at AIIMS, they were under the care of doctors at the Chinayalisaur Community Health Center in Uttarkashi. The Executive Director of AIIMS, Meenu Singh, confirmed that all workers are healthy. Currently, they need rest and a balanced diet, with a recommendation to consume ample amounts of water and juice.

Psychiatric Team Providing Monitoring and Care for Workers

A thorough health check-up of the workers is currently underway. The psychiatric team is evaluating their mental well-being, and if necessary, assistance will also be sought from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore. Nagar Vikas Minister Premchand Agarwal and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat visited the workers at AIIMS to inquire about their well-being.

Morari Bapu Announces Financial Aid for 41 Workers Trapped in Silkyara Tunnel

Morari Bapu, a renowned storyteller, provided financial aid of ₹6,15,000 to the 41 workers who struggled for their lives in the Silkyara Tunnel. On Wednesday, he obtained the bank account numbers of the workers from the Chief Minister’s Office and transferred money to each worker’s account. He praised their courage and offered his blessings.

Authorities will soon send the workers rescued from the Uttarkashi tunnel back to their homes

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the state government has kept its promise by successfully rescuing all the workers from the perilous tunnel. After the examination at Rishikesh AIIMS, they will be sent home soon.
