Uttarakhand Weather: In Kedarnath, there was a two-inch snowfall, while in Badrinath, it was snowing heavily.

Weather change is expected across the state on Wednesday. There is a possibility of light rainfall in all districts. Areas above 3,000 meters in the mountainous regions may experience snowfall. Light drizzle in Dehradun has increased the chilliness. After the rainfall on Wednesday, there is a possibility of further drop in temperature.

On Tuesday, there was a snowfall in high mountains including Kedarnath, Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, and Pithoragarh. This resulted in a drop in temperature and increased chilliness throughout the state. The maximum temperature decreased by up to two degrees Celsius. However, the minimum temperature remained three degrees Celsius higher than normal. Dehradun experienced a one-degree decrease in maximum temperature and three degrees above normal in minimum temperature. Mukteshwar recorded a one-degree decrease in maximum temperature and a two-degree decrease in minimum temperature.

According to the meteorological department, there is a possibility of very light rainfall in all districts on Wednesday. Along with the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, there is a possibility of snowfall in higher altitude areas of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh districts. Temperature could see a significant drop, leading to increased chilliness throughout the state.

Dehradun is expected to have partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of thundercloud formation in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius.

In the hilly areas of Garhwal, the weather was unfavorable since morning on Tuesday. By midday, Kedarnath had light flurries of snow, which intensified later, resulting in around two inches of fresh snowfall at the shrine.

Similarly, Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Chopta Valley, Gorsu Bugyal, and other high-altitude areas witnessed heavy snowfall on Monday night. Snowfall also occurred up to the 10th number tower in Auli. Tourists camping in the Kuari Pass area were covered in snow. Tourists enjoyed this snowfall to the fullest. Meanwhile, the snowfall has affected the ongoing work of the master plan at the shrines.
