CM Pushkar Singh Dhami attended as the chief guest in a special event organized in Dehradun on the occasion of the establishment day of Home Guards and Civil Defense. CM Dhami made the following announcements
- The government will introduce the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) facility, similar to the Army, for Home Guards. Special cards will be provided for this purpose.
- Preparation for recruiting 320 new Home Guards is underway.
- The government will construct a firing range in Premnagar for the training of Home Guards..
- Acquisition of a large number of motorcycles is planned.
- The government will provide incentive amounts to individuals serving in high Himalayan regions.
- The government plans to construct a rescue center and hostel.
