The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to hold a convention for workers from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as well as actively participate in the Vikas Bharat Yatra (Development Journey). According to the state president, Adityaram Kotari, the outline for both these programs has been prepared. After the results of the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram, the state BJP will showcase its presence in the new political landscape. In light of the election results, the central leadership will send new programs for the state organization’s preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Currently, the party’s focus is solely on major programs. The first program is to hold a convention for workers from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, while the second is active participation in the Vikas Bharat Yatra. According to party sources, the central leadership has been fully focused on the state assembly elections in the five states.
After the election results are announced on 3rd December, the party will gear up for the Lok Sabha elections with full strength. For this purpose, the central leadership will provide new programs to the state organization, keeping the focus on the Lok Sabha elections. With these programs, the BJP will demonstrate its presence in the new political landscape of the state. The party is currently focusing on establishing its dominance in all five Lok Sabha seats in the state.
According to the state president, Kotari, after the results of the five state elections, new directions will be received from the central leadership regarding organizational activities.
Commitment to integrate Scheduled Tribes category with BJP
The party is planning to hold conventions for leaders and workers associated with the Scheduled Tribes category in Vikasnagar and Nanakmatta on 1st December. The party believes that in order to perform better in the Lok Sabha elections, it needs to integrate the Scheduled Tribes category with itself. In the previous assembly elections, the BJP faced defeat on 23 seats, including Chakrata, Khatima, Nanakmatta, Badrinath, and Dharchula. All these seats have a significant Scheduled Tribes population or influence.
Strategy to strengthen the Scheduled Castes category
The party also has a strategy to strengthen its position in the Scheduled Castes category, so there will be major conventions with workers, leaders, and organizations associated with the Scheduled Castes category in Haldwani and Haridwar. The convention for the SC category has already been scheduled for 2nd December in Haldwani. The date for the convention in Haridwar will be decided soon. Initially, this convention was supposed to be held on 30th November, but the Chief Minister will be attending inauguration and foundation-laying programs in Nainital on that date. Therefore, a new date for the convention will be decided soon.
MPs and MLAs to spend five days in the Vikas Bharat Yatra
All MPs, MLAs, Panchayat and municipal representatives of the BJP have been instructed to travel for five days for the Vikas Bharat Yatra. Through these programs, representatives will inform the people in their respective areas about the achievements and developmental schemes of the central and state governments.
